Brian Boghosian wins title # 15 at the Better Bowling Concepts Senior Open, hosted at Norwich Bowling & Entertainment Center. We had 45 bowlers compete, and we ended up having 13 taken into match-play. The top four qualifiers had a one-round bye, leaving us with nine bowlers competing in a first-round elimination-style match, having the top four bowlers advance.
Brian qualified fourth, allowing him to receive the one-round bye. He then met Chris Forry in the second round, defeating him 214 to 178. Brian now moves on to the semi-final round against Joe Scianna. This was a tough match, and Brian narrowly defeated Joe, 236 to 233, moving Brian into the Championship match against good friend Chris Viale. This match was a strike fest, but Brian threw 11 out of 12 strikes for the victory over Chris 279 to 245.
We want to thank Better Bowling Concepts, John Kirker, William Daley, and John Kirker Sr. for their continued support of NEBA and the sport of bowling and for adding $500 to today's prize fund.
