Ian Fitzpatrick and Tyler Perry win the Yankee Lanes Doubles Open on Saturday, July 29th, at Yankee Lanes in Keene, NH. Ian and Tyler were the event's High Qualifiers, coming in at +294 for qualifying on a 42' Challenge Pattern.
We had 66 teams compete, with 16 advancing to the Elimination style match-play format. During round 1 of Match-play, we saw Ian and Tyler posted a score of 491, while the cut for the round came in at 427. With eight teams advancing to round 2, Ian and Tyler tossed a 425 to narrowly move them to the semi-final round. During Round 3, the semi-final round, Ian and Tyler found the grove and led that round, advancing them to the Championship match against the team of Ditto Fitzpatrick and Nate Clarke. The championship match was closely contested, with Ian Fitzpatrick and Tyler Perry defeating Ditto Fitzpatrick and Nate Clarke 448 to 442.
This is Ian Fitzpatrick's first Neba Title and Tyler Perry's Third Neba title. With this win, each bowler received $1,000 for first place, plus a paid entry into this year's SPI Tournament of Champions in November.
