Joseph Bourhill becomes the newest NEBA Champion winning the Ace Mitchell Bowling Supply Non-Champions event hosted at Walnut Hill Bowl in Woonsocket, RI.

Joe qualified 24th for the event with a qualifying score of 1141 to make it into the top 32 for match play. In the first round, Joe defeated Jayme Silva Jr 243 to 211 to advance to round 2 of matchplay, where he defeated John Becker 247 to 176. This now has Joe in the third round defeating Greg Green in a nailbiter of a match 239 to 234. Now this moves on to the semi-finals against Kevin Thibeault, where Joe defeated Kevin 233 to 208 to set up the final game against Peter Licata. The championship match ended in the tenth frame, with Joe victorious over Peter Licata 213 to 211. Joe took home $1,550 + an entry into the SPI Tournament of Champions, while Peter received $1,050 for second place.

We had 156 bowlers participate, and 32 advanced into match play.
