Michael Lichstein wins title # 32 at the 2023 Cambridge Credit Invitational on Sunday, April 7th, at Bowlero Auburn. Mike qualified third in 59 on a problematic short sport pattern for qualifying.
As we have a different format for the Invitational, all bowlers bowl the five-game qualifier where in this event, we took 24 into a super match-play format as you were bowling all 23 opponents in Super Match-play, providing bonus pins for each win over your opponents on the pair during the next five games of match-play. This set the stage for the 6th game as a position round, where it became a shootout between Michael and Bill Webb for the title, with Michael edging out Bill by 20 pins for title # 32.
Thank you to Cambridge Credit Counseling for their continued support of Neba, the sport of bowling, and for adding $3,500 to today’s prize fund.
Our next event will be a Special Cuts event (Senior, Women’s & Super Senior Event) hosted by Robert Toth and Walnut Hill Lanes on Saturday, April 13th at 11 AM. Walnut Hill Bowl will add $500 to the prize fund; then, on Saturday night and Sunday the 14th, we will have the Ideal Bowling Concepts Non-Champions Event presented by Walnut Hill Bowl with another $ 500 added to this prize fund.
Thank you to Robert Toth and Walnut Hill Bowl for your continued support of NEBA and the sport of bowling.
