Rich Reynolds & Paul Smith proved they were the best team on Sunday by winning the Stirike F/X Doubles. They secured their spot in matchplay with a +197 on the first squad which was seventh out of the 57 teams. They defeated Chris Baker & Jim Savasta 456-414, #5 Colby Hagemoser & Jon Van Hees 461-404, Gino Beniamino & Larry King 464-380 and Chris Larson & John Kirker in the semi-finals 435-391. Rich & Paul came up big in the final match for a 461-422 win over Darrin Borges & Chris Viale. The duo split $1,600 and each celebrated adding a title to their resume: #4 for Rich with his last in 2012 and #2 for Paul with his last in 2014.

Rich and Paul also earned a spot in the $10,000 Paul Forry Memorial Senies along the next three teams. Rich Reynolds, Paul Smith, Darrin Borges, Chris Viale, Chris Larsen, John Kirker, Dennis Bissonnette and Justin Veal are the first eight to earn spots in the finals. 56 more bowlers will have the opportunity to be part of this elite field.  The next qualifying event is next month at the Bowl Winkles Pro Shop Singles at Hall of Fame Silver Lanes in East Hartford, CT.
