Sean qualified 15th overall at plus 194 earning his spot in single-game match-play through the at-large cut from his qualifying on the Saturday night squad. We had 173 bowlers competing on Bowlero Chicopee’s recreation pattern where the top 40 advanced in the single-game match-play style format. During round 1, the top 24 bowlers had a one round bye, so the bottom 16 bowlers competed and the top 8 advanced to round two of match-play where we had 32 bowlers competing in round two. Sean received a one round bye and faced the number 18 seed Tyler Hurne and defeated him in a close match 268 to 254. Sean was locked in during match-play shooting 799 for his first three games. In the second match, Sean defeated Chris Viale 267 to 181 to advance to round three and face off against another local bowler in Robert Greene Jr, defeating Rob 264 to 222. Moving on to the semi-finals, Sean continued in the zone and defeated Jamyson Mathieu 268 to 227 to advance to his first championship match against a true competitor Malik Grove. This match went down to the tenth frame where Sean needed to throw the strike to clinch his first title defeating Malik 246 to 244.

Sean won $1,450 in Smart money plus a paid entry of $125.00 into the SPI TOC in November of this year for a total prize payout of $1,575.00 for his win, while Malik took home $950.00 for his second-place finish.

We would like to thank Savage Arms for their continued support of NEBA as well as Chris and Amy Viale of Northeast Megabucks for adding $500.00 to this weekend’s prize fund.
