$10,000 Paul Forry Memorial Series

Squad Times:

General

  • This challenge series shall be governed by the New England Bowlers Association

  • This challenge series is open to all 2024 NEBA Members

  • This challenge series shall not count towards any Bowler of the Year Point categories

  • There is no cost to enter this challenge series

  • This challenge series will take place over the course of twelve (12) NEBA Tournaments during the 2024 season

Qualifying Events

  • Each qualifying event will take the top eight (8) finishers from the hosting singles tournament.

    • Top four (4) finishers from the hosting doubles tournament.

  • If any/all bowler(s) from the top eight (8) have already qualified from a previous event, said positions will be deferred to the top bowler(s) in Bowler of the Year points after the conclusion of the Savage Arms Open presented by Northeast Megabucks hosted by AMF Chicopee Lanes.

  • There will be nine (9) qualifying events:

    • 01/7 CCC Invitational - AMF Auburn Lanes - Auburn, MA

    • 01/21 Many Stylessssss of Bowling Open - AMF Circle Lanes - East Haven, CT

    • 02/25 KR Strikeforce Doubles - East Providence Lanes - East Providence, RI

    • 03/17 Bowl Winkles Open - AMF Silver Lanes - East Hartford, CT

    • 04/28 BuddiesProShop.com Open - Nutmeg Bowl - Fairfield, CT

    • 05/19 Green Mountain Rutland Open presented by Black Dog Shooting Supplies - Rutland Bowlerama - Rutland, VT

    • 06/8 GMS Decorative Concrete / Turbo Grips - Over / Under Doubles - AMF Cranston Lanes - Cranston, RI

    • 06/9 GMS Decorative Concrete Regular Doubles presented by Strike F/X Pro Shops - AMF Cranston Lanes - Cranston, RI

    • 06/30 Savage Arms Open presented by Northeast Megabucks - AMF Chicopee Lanes - Chicopee, MA

Survivor Events

  • All bowlers who qualified via the Qualifying Events (up to 72), plus the highest bowlers in Bowler of the Year Points after the final qualifying event, who did not qualify via a qualifying event, will make up the 72 bowler field.

  • There will be two (2) survivor events:

    • 07/21 Rip Callahan Memorial Open - Callahan's Bowl-O-Rama - Newington, CT

    • 09/08 Yankee Lanes Singles Open - Yankee Lanes - Manchester, NH

  • Anyone who qualifies for the survivor event and does not bowl will forfeit their spot, and no alternate will take their place 

  • During the 1st event, the top 48 scores of the 72 bowler field from the 9am squad, including ties, will advance to the 2nd event

  • During the 2nd event, the top 32 scores of the remaining bowlers from the 9am squad, including ties, will advance to the finale

Finale

  • All bowlers who advanced out of the survivor event will qualify for the finale.

  • The finale will be hosted during the final event of the 2023 season:

    • 10/19-10/20 Dexter Open - East Providence Lanes - East Providence, RI

  • The top 20 finishers during the finale’s hosting tournament shall cash.

  • Final standings for the challenge will be determined by the bowler’s tournament finish during the finale’s hosting tournament.

    • If a bowler fails to advance to match play, their highest qualifying score will be used to determine finish for challenge series, placing behind any/all bowlers who qualify for match play.

    • Any ties will be broken by standard NEBA tie breaking rules (e.g. score during round eliminated in match play, high qualifying game)
